Program Name: Encuentro Dominicano

Program Dates: Students may choose to participate during either a fall semester or a spring semester. The Fall semester usually runs from early-September to Mid-December. The Spring semester usually runs from Mid-January to early-May.

Location: Santiago, Dominican Republic

Language of Instruction: English/Spanish

Eligibility & Requirements: Minimum 2.5 Cumulative GPA (upon submission of Encuentro Application); at least one year completed full-time undergraduate study by the time of the program; participation in Pre-Departure Orientation; and submission of all form as outlined in Creighton’s Study Abroad Policies and Procedures. Credits: Variable.  6 credits for core course requirement (EDP 361), 3 credits for Intensive Spanish, 3 credit elective additional Immersion Spanish, and option for other distance-format courses.

Housing Type: Creighton University’s ILAC Center (dorm style)
