PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Fordham’s London Centre in Kensington Square is the site of an exciting and innovative fall semester study abroad program. Offered to sophomores, juniors, or seniors, the program allows participants to engage in research while experiencing diverse academic settings.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS: Fordham’s London Centre London as Classroom program focuses on one 4–credit core course, a 2–credit research module that will require independent work related to but not limited by the course content, and three further courses which will be chosen from the offerings of the Fordham London Centre and direct enrollment in one of five local universities: Queen Mary, University of London; Heythrop College, University of London; City University; University of Westminster; Roehampton University.
The program includes study tours that will enhance the students’ classroom experience. Excursions are planned to Winchester (cathedral, great hall), Stonehenge, Canterbury (cathedral, river tour), Bath (the Roman baths), and Glastonbury (the legendary Avalon). We will also schedule a group visit to a play at the Globe Theatre and a manuscript workshop at the British Library for those who are interested.
